CNC Machine Setter

Our partner is an international electronics manufacturer specialising in cable assemblies, connector solutions and electromechanical products for medical technology, industrial automation and transportation.

As CNC Machine Setter you will set up, adjust and optimise CNC machines for efficient, high quality production. This covers changeovers, tool setup and measurement, program adjustments, troubleshooting, first piece inspections and supporting operators, plus basic machine maintenance. You may also create and modify CNC programs and technical documentation from drawings.

• Setting up and changing over CNC sliding head lathes such as TORNOS, STAR, TRAUB and MULTISWISS
• Monitoring production and ensuring consistent quality
• Carrying out in process measurements and tool offset corrections
• Performing daily and weekly preventive maintenance
• Optimising processes, reducing cycle times and completing production documentation

• Machining experience on CNC Swiss type lathes
• Experience on conventional or manual lathes
• A relevant technical or vocational qualification
• Willingness to work a 3 shift schedule
• User level computer skills; English or French is an advantage
