General Accountant

Our client, an international industrial group active in industry, energy, environment, infrastructure and innovative technologies, is growing its Finance shared service centre in Luxembourg and is looking for a General Accountant on a permanent contract.

You will independently manage the accounts of a portfolio of companies, mainly based in France, covering day to day accounting, financial closes and tax obligations in close collaboration with the group's Finance teams.

• Handling general and cost accounting for one or more entities
• Taking part in monthly, quarterly and annual closes and preparing financial statements
• Preparing VAT returns and other tax filings
• Working with controllers and the Finance, Tax and Consolidation teams to ensure reliable data
• Contributing to process optimisation and finance tool transformation projects

• A degree in accounting at Bac+4 level or above
• 2 to 5 years of experience in general accounting
• Good command of French accounting, cost accounting and French tax
• Significant SAP experience; SAP S/4HANA is a plus
• English and/or German is an advantage
