GL Accountant, Fixed Assets

Our partner is a stable international company looking for an experienced accountant to look after general ledger and fixed asset accounting.

You will take over this area within the team during a planned company-wide ERP implementation. The role is a full-time fixed-term contract for 18 months with the possibility of extension.

• Running the general ledger and accounting for tangible and intangible fixed assets in SAP
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual closes and reconciling accounts
• Handling VAT and ensuring compliance with Czech accounting rules
• Supporting IFRS reporting, particularly leases under IFRS 16, and preparing regular analyses
• Working with auditors and with controlling, HR, purchasing, logistics and consolidation teams

• 3+ years in accounting with a focus on general ledger or fixed assets
• Good knowledge of Czech accounting and tax legislation
• Advanced SAP and Excel skills, including pivot tables
• Experience of closes, reconciliations and working with auditors
• Familiarity with IFRS; IFRS 16 experience is a plus
