Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Our partner's engineering team designs electrical systems for complex oil and gas and industrial projects, and is looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer. You will work independently on load lists, equipment sizing, single line diagrams, data sheets and technical specifications, and evaluate vendor offers.

The role also covers cable sizing and schedules, installation design such as MTO preparation and cable routing, power distribution, and detailed earthing and lighting design. Travel or work abroad may be required.

• Design MV and LV power systems, including switchgear, MCCs, transformers, VFDs and protection relays
• Carry out power studies: load flow, short circuit, motor starting and relay protection settings
• Complete earthing and lightning calculations
• Run technical bid evaluations and vendor follow up for main electrical equipment
• Train and mentor engineers and report project status, risks and resolutions

• Strong knowledge of IEC, EN and ATEX standards and industrial plant design
• AutoCAD, ETAP or similar electrical sizing software, and Dialux
• Understanding of project phases from prefeasibility through FEED to detail design
• Ability to work directly with clients, vendors and company management
• Good written and spoken English and willingness to travel abroad if required
