This notice explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal data when you engage with us, or we contact you, about work opportunities. It applies if you are a candidate for permanent or temporary employment or a freelancer/contractor, including where another agency or intermediary introduced your profile to us.
The data controller is Tessero Denmark A/S, Kongens Nytorv 8, 1050 Copenhagen K, Denmark ("Tessero", "we", "us").
Our data protection team can be contacted at denmark@tesserogroup.dk or by post at the address above (marked "Data Protection Team").
Where more than one Tessero group entity jointly determines why and how your data is processed, they act as joint controllers under Article 26 GDPR. You can exercise your rights against any of them using the contact details above.
Your CV and contact details are necessary for us to assess your suitability. If you do not provide them, we may be unable to consider you for roles.
Legitimate interests. Our interests are in running an effective and responsible recruitment business: matching candidates with suitable roles, keeping an accurate and up-to-date candidate database, improving our services, meeting client expectations, keeping our systems secure and handling legal claims. You can object at any time to processing based on legitimate interests (see section 7).
Special category data. We process this where necessary to meet obligations under employment, social security and social protection law (Art. 9(2)(b) GDPR) or, in limited cases, with your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a)).
Consent. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect processing carried out before you withdraw it.
We use automated tools and AI to help screen and match applications and to reduce administrative work for our consultants. Hiring decisions are never made solely by automated means. A person always reviews them.
Our service providers may only use your data on our instructions and must keep it secure. We do not sell your personal data.
Your data may be accessed or stored outside your home country. When we transfer data outside the EEA, we rely on an adequacy decision, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism, and carry out transfer impact assessments where necessary. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards.
We keep your data for up to three years from when we collected it or last had meaningful contact with you. Meaningful contact means a positive action by you, such as submitting a CV, taking part in our training, discussing roles with us or clicking through from our emails. Simply opening an email does not count. If you are supplied through a third-party company, contact with that company counts. If you have asked us to use your data only for a specific application, we keep it only for as long as legal requirements make necessary. We may keep data longer where we must for tax, legal or litigation reasons. Afterwards it is securely deleted or anonymised.

Soft opt-in. We may send you recruitment-related messages about similar opportunities or services without separate consent where: (i) we obtained your details when providing recruitment services to you; and (ii) you were given the chance to object then and in every message since. We will not do this if you are registered on the Danish Robinson list. Otherwise, we only send e-marketing with your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in our messages or by contacting us.
Website tracking and cookies. If you switch on marketing cookies and we can recognise you as an existing candidate or contact (for example, because you clicked a link in one of our emails), we record which pages of our website you view and link this to your record in our recruitment system, so that we can suggest relevant roles and follow up with you. We also measure whether our marketing campaigns lead to enquiries or applications. Analytics and marketing cookies are set only if you switch them on, and you can change your choice at any time through the Cookie Preferences link on every page. The Cookies section of our group privacy page, Privacy at Tessero, explains each cookie we use, what it is for, who sets it and how long it lasts.
Market research. With your consent, we may invite you to surveys, user testing and similar research.
We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including access controls, encryption, staff training, threat detection and regular audits.
We may update this notice. The current version, with its effective date, is always available on our website, and we will tell you about significant changes where required.
